SPAN was tasked with creating a way for Major League Baseball Advanced Media (MLBAM) to rapidly develop reliable, high-quality consumer streaming applications for multiple entertainment and sports properties and deploy the apps across multiple devices.
We partnered with MLBAM to design and develop a platform that has transformed how MLBAM streaming apps are built–including the HBO Now and WWE applications.
We’ve transformed the MLBAM approach to streaming application development, increasing developer productivity, accelerating new-app creation, and greatly reducing testing and maintenance requirements. These solutions are still being used today both at MLBAM and Disney+.
