SPAN worked closely with Pandora’s API team to design and build the new GraphQL API, and to build the new Developer Center.
The Challenge
SPAN was challenged to build a new Developer Center, leveraging Pandora’s new GraphQL API, with the aim of meeting several key business objectives:
- Increase Monthly Active Users by making it easier for partners to engage with Pandora and deliver compelling music services
- Streamline the partner onboarding process.
- Encourage partner developers to rapidly build their own applications, leveraging Pandora’s API’s.
What We Did
- Collaborated closely with the Pandora team on the design and build of the company’s new GraphQL API.
- Built a public-facing Developer Center that demonstrates the API and comprises a self-service dashboard, an API Explorer, a Sample Web App, and a Documentation site.
The Result
SPAN launched the project in partnership with Pandora’s API engineering team. We then successfully onboarded and supported the Developer Center’s first beta partners. This enabled Pandora’s business development team to target new partners, with the goal of creating globally accessible Pandora-powered applications for a broad range of consumer electronics. At the same time this enabled developers to easily and quickly build their own applications on the platform.
