As co-founder of Gravity Mobile, Chris led the development of market-leading mobile content, technology, and application design capabilities. Gravity pioneered audio-recognition application development with their partners Shazam, earning extensive industry recognition and numerous awards. After creating numerous mobile applications for Verizon, AT&T, Pandora, Major League Baseball, Nielsen and others the company was acquired by Gracenote/Sony America. Chris has successfully managed several other businesses including Toast, a popular recording studio in San Francisco that recorded the likes of Neil Young, REM, Tom Waits, and more. In addition, Chris has founded and run a record label and played as a professional musician.

Chief Executive Officer, Managing PartnerA web and e-commerce pioneer, Andrew has spent nearly 20 years building businesses that enmesh and merge design and technology to revolutionize business and connect people with brands. Andrew is a fanatical builder of brands and harmonized, omni-channel consumer experience. He’s an acolyte of analytics-driven, user-centered design.
During his time as CEO and Creative Director of his first company, Adjacency, and during his time as SVP at Sapient, its acquirer, Andrew helped provide brands like Apple Computer, Caterpillar, Ferrari, Land Rover, Nordstrom, Patagonia, Specialized, TAG Heuer, Virgin, and The White House with award-winning web presences and e-commerce platforms.
After leaving Sapient, Andrew co-founded and grew businesses in such diverse arenas as network computing (Metabox), global IT talent ranking and sourcing (Gild.com), retail luxury goods (Goldenbleu), LED lighting, design-enabled management consulting, and lean product development.
He’s taught the business of design at his alma mater, the University of Wisconsin – Madison, and advises and invests in start-ups in the Bay Area and Madison.
His work has been recognized with awards and distinctions such as a gold Clio and multiple gold and silver pencils from the One Club for Art & Copy, as well as inclusion in innumerable design annuals.
Chief Technology Officer, Managing Partner
John has over 25 years experience in software product engineering, research, and consulting. A self-taught, self-starter, he has held leadership positions in startups and fortune 500 companies, where he has created innovative, category defining, technical solutions and offerings.
John Started his career at The British Geological Survey where he led development of the National Geochemical Database while working for the DTI funded Mineral Reconnaissance Program.
In the UK, he also led the engineering efforts at Nottingham University Hospital during the development of its hospital information system. He made his way to the US when he was recruited by IBM to lead the development of its Online Business Catalog Solution.
After leaving IBM, John became a technology lead at Sapient, delivering global solutions for clients as diverse as Cisco, the USMC, and Wells Fargo. He established Sapient’s globalization practice and acted as technology lead for their learning service group.
Before joining SPAN John performed various roles for Philips Healthcare Informatics as part of the acquisition of Stentor, where he led the engineering department in developing iSite PACS solutions. At Philips he grew the PACS team to over 100 engineers and was instrumental in establishing a global software platform for medical imaging solutions. He went on to run a practice that produced multiple industry-leading innovations in the space. As a member of the Healthcare Informatics management team, he led multiple strategic initiatives that helped shape the business.
